The Classic 50 was special request from a customer who wanted a UK hand built amplifier based on the Hiwatt DR504. The design has been refined to reduce noise to an absolute minimum and to improve reliability with modern valves.  I also simplified the input section using just one socket feeding both the Bright and Normal sections, eliminating the need for the usual link cable.  The cab houses a single Celestion G12H-75 Creamback and has a removable panel so it can used both open and closed backed. All the fixings on the cab are stainless steel bolts into threaded inserts so the panel can be removed and refitted time after time without any degradation.
